    Overview

When you rely on a tactical optic to keep you in the game, you’ve got to be ready to shine, day or night. The AMG UH-1 Gen II is the close-quarters solution you’ve been asking for, offering an incredibly fast holographic display to conquer every close-quarters situation, now with four night-vision compatible settings and a dedicated night-vision button. A large viewing window makes this door-kicker even faster, and a sleek, snag-free build looks and maneuvers great. The lightning-quick EBR-CQB reticle is designed to dominate in close, and our FHQ technology virtually eliminates stray light emissions for stealth shooting. Duty never sleeps, and the AMG UH-1 Gen II is ready to light your way.

    Features

The new AMG UH-1 Gen II picks up where the Gen I left off, now with a dedicated night-vision button providing quick access to 4 NV settings, with immediate recall to your last daylight setting. With the UH-1 Gen II, you get an improved sight picture through the enlarged viewing window, making target acquisition even faster, and easy battery changes with the tool-less battery cover, plus a lighter load at just 11 ounces.

Night-Vision Button - To set the UH-1 to night-vision mode, press and hold the NV button. Adjust the illumination setting to your preferred brightness. Press and hold the NV button to return to the last daylight illumination setting. The UH-1 will return to the last NV setting used the next time you return to NV mode.(Note: When in night-vision mode, the reticle will only be visible with the use of a night-vision unit.)

Windage & Elevation - Use a coin or flat-head item to turn the dials to adjust for point of aim. For both dials, one click will change the point of aim approximately ½ MOA when zeroing. One full rotation of either dial will change the point of aim approximately 16.5 MOA—approximately 8.25" at 50 yards or 16.5" at 100 yards when zeroing.(Note: When adjusting, you may encounter increased resistance. This means you’ve reached the end of the adjustment range and should not turn the dial more.)

Battery - One CR123A battery powers the UH-1. To remove the tool-less battery cap, flip up the tab and turn the cap counterclockwise. Install the battery with the positve (+) end going into the unit. Replace the battery cap.The UH-1 will automatically shut off after 14 hours if no button is pressed. The 14-hour Auto Shutoff feature can be disabled.

    Integrated Quick-Release Mount

    1. To open the mount, depress the lock button and swing the quick-release mount lever 90 degrees to the open position.

    2. Position the UH-1 down onto the rail at desired location. Place the lever side onto the rail first, then rotate the unit so it is flush on the rail. Apply forward pressure on the unit. Move mount lever back to closed position.

    3. Check lever closing tension. Lever should close with moderate pressure using thumb or finger. It should not require excess force to close. If lever won’t close, closes with excess force, or seems extremely easy to close with little or no tension, proceed to step 4.

    4. To adjust the tension, move the lever back to the open position. Using a flat head screwdriver or similar device, turn the adjustment nut left or right to loosen or tighten. Make small adjustments of one or two clicks, then check lever closing tension. It may be necessary to repeat this process a few times until proper tension is achieved.

Works fantastic. Looks badass on my new LWRC. It’s definitely real Vortex and exactly as described in the listing.

In the world of Holographic Optics the number of options is limited but all are high quality. I settled on the UH-1 becuase of the sight picture. The shape design is outstanding. Easy to use at a 100yd Zero and use the ring and btm triangle to hit dead on for closer targets. Quick shots eyes up are natural and accurate. I picked up the magnifier aRead more about review stating Fantastic Sight Pictures well so its easy to keyhole longer shots. Proformance aside this thing just looks COOL on the BCM. I'm very happy with this optic. About the only knock I would give the unit is the programing controls. No shake to wake and auto off setting way too long. 14hours; I think that's excessive. I have had mine over a year with zero issues so I can't comment on the Vortex CS but everything I read tells me it is great. The fact I don't need to call the MFG with a problem says enough for me.

Just got mine today, looks great. Crystal clear reticle (same style as the 1st Gen), no distortion and no fading around the edges. Another Vortex sight with one of the best warranties in the business. Trying to see when I can make it out to the range to zero in but I'm very excited. Will update once I make it out.

Setting this optic and magnifier up was super easy and they work really well. Love the quality and ease of use!

This Vortex is a pretty amazing optic I have to say!! At first since I have an astigmatism the 68 MOA circle and 1 MOA dot looked pretty fuzzy and distorted. It did clear up considerably when trying to focus on the target instead of the reticle, which is what you’re supposed to do anyways with holographic sights. At first i was looking through with one eye closed then when using both eyes open it cleared up even more. So basically it forces me to keep both eyes open to get the clearest reticle, which is a GOOD thing. It promotes proper technique. It has a huge field of view almost exactly the same size as the Eotechs and has VERY little to no parallax shift, which is quite impressive. It’s very hard to not find the reticle when bringing the weapon up due to the large circle and huge field of view. It’s extremely accurate and for longer distances you can add a magnifier without the reticle magnifying at the same time apparently. I guess that’s how holographic sights work. Battery life could be an issue for some as the laser takes more power than LEDs, and this has about 1500 hours I believe on medium setting. I don’t have night vision so I can’t comment on that but I have no reason to think there’s be any issues there. Overall it’s an amazing product and it seems they’ve corrected some minor issues from the previous version!!

This holographic sight is truly the best one in the market. In the photo the reticle didn’t come out clear but I just wanted to point out how bright it can be. This holographic sight is truly leaving EoTech holos behind. Vortex did a great job building this sights. Even with astigmatism you guys aren’t going to have any problems using it with the right contact lenses or glass lenses. Compared to EoTech it is slightly bigger but provides more field of view inside. Zeroing is simple and provides 99.99% accuracy! Yes! It is that accurate. Also, 3x Macro magnifier works just perfect with sights providing a lot clear and zoomed view. Thank you Vortex for this amazing sights. For real you guys left Eotech behind! I’m impressed...

Best holographic sight on the market. Currently have two of these and will be picking up more in 2024.I really like the 68 moa (semi) circle, I feel like the optic window doesn't have a busy feel to it. I also love the triangle at the bottom of the 68 moa ring. It makes closer target acquisitions/ CQB easier if your rifle has a 50 yard zero. This Read more about review stating Best holographic sight available?optic can take abuse, its going to hold its zero and keep going.
